Seems we are in the Boondocks of Life...

Several episodes of the Boondocks have attempted to capture problematic areas of Black Culture. Some episodes I find most interesting and appealing are The Itis, Katrinians, If ML King had lived, R. Kelly and the characterization of B.E.T.'s role in Black entertainment.

If you have not seen any of the episodes, please check these out before posting a response to this blog. You can check some episodes out on YouTube!

If you have seen the episodes or others, how would accurate would you say the Boondocks depicts black culture, black life and where do you take issue with Boondocks depictions?

Personally, I find the episodes quite truthful in many respects and they offer the viewer much to think about.
